Third Pedro Cañestro Amateur Theatre Season in Ibiza

The Pedro Cañestro Amateur Theatre Season returns for its third edition in November and December 2023. This exciting event offers the opportunity to enjoy six new theatrical productions, each with two showings at various dates and cultural venues across all the municipalities of Ibiza.

This initiative, sponsored by the Ibiza Council, is aimed at supporting local theatre groups and promoting their incredible talent and creativity.

All performances are open to the public. Advance tickets are available for 8e and can be purchased on www.eivissacultural.es. Tickets can also be acquired at the box office for 12e, starting one hour before the show. Season passes are an option as well, and detailed pricing information can be found on the official website, www.conselldeivissa.es, or by contacting +34 680 104 856, from Monday to Friday between 12 PM and 3 PM.

Here’s a look at the program for the 2023 Pedro Cañestro Amateur Theatre Season:

1. “Sinatra, 25 years sense la veu” by Diego Ramón Peris and Santi Pérez. The first performance is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Caló de s’Oli Auditorium in Cala de Bou, with a second show on Friday, November 24, 2023, in the auditorium of the Sociocultural Centre of Cas Serres in Ibiza city.
2. “The glory” by Theatre group Curassow Arts. The play premieres on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the auditorium of Cas Serres in Ibiza city. A second performance will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, in the Cervantes Cultural Center in San Antonio.
3. “IBZ-2050” by the Theatre Group of the Institut d’Estudis Eivissencs. This production takes the stage on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Caló de s’Oli Auditorium in Cala de Bou. The second showing is on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Cultural Center of Jesus.
4. “A wild God” by the company Tot Teatre, L’Experimental. The play is set for Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Theater Spain in Santa Eulalia, with an additional performance on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the auditorium of Cas Serres in Ibiza city.
5. “Gifts of Salt” by the theater company Pedro Canestro. The show’s first presentation is on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the auditorium of Cas Serres in Ibiza city. A second showing will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the San Mateo Social Center.
6. “One embolic, two embolics, three embolics” by Theater group Vesins Association Es Molí. The first session is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the auditorium of Cas Serres in Ibiza. The second performance will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Parish Center of sa Cala de Sant Vicent.
