Are you a fan of cooking? do you like to eat If you answered yes to one of these questions (or both) and want to have some fun, come to Ibiza Town’s Old Market for the Ibiza Red Potato Omelette Competition. You may already know this, but the red Ibizan potato is a true delicacy, a red-skinned, yellow-fleshed potato variety native to the island, considered by gastronomic experts to be one of the best. Since 2016, we have been working to bring it back so that we can enjoy it in countless dishes.

The Red Potato Omelette Contest will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The city council supplies each registered group with 10 kilograms of red potatoes, from which they must show their creativity and prepare the most delicious recipe.

The competition starts at 12 noon. Recruit your friends and register at www.eivissa.es (where the contest rules are also) or www.concursgastronomiceivissa.es. In addition to the competition, there will be entertainment for children of assistants with Cachirulo and live music with concerts by Products at Assistant and the group Võistan tuan. And at the end of the day at 17:30 there will be a Got Talent competition.
