The Caló de s’Oli auditorium in Cala de Bou comes alive with passion and the rich tradition of flamenco during the celebration of Flamenco Day, a cultural event recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO on November 16, 2010.

San José City Council, in collaboration with Are-T Dance School, has organized two days of flamenco performances on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November 2023.

On Saturday, 18th November 2023, at 20:00, the audience will be treated to the show “Flamenco: From Your Hand I Go.” This performance will feature the stellar talent of Manuel Marquez de Manrique, a professor of flamenco singing, vocal technique, and guitar at the Rafael Orozco Superior Conservatory of Music in Córdoba. He will be joined by Eduardo Mendoza on guitar and dancer Dalia Sánchez. The evening will conclude with a performance by students from the final year of the Are-T academy.

On Sunday, 19th November 2023, at 11:30, the Are-T flamenco school will present various authentic and emotionally charged performances to commemorate International Flamenco Day. Additionally, there will be a show and colloquium involving the Academy’s students at the outdoor auditorium of Caló de s’Oli.

Admission is free for both days of this flamenco extravaganza.
