Easter Events in Santa Eulalia – Religious Celebrations and Processions

For 2024, the planned events begin on Friday, March 22nd with the Friday of Sorrows, where a mass is scheduled for 7:30 PM at the Chapel of Lourdes, located on the main street. This will be followed by a procession led by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Hope, which will traverse the town’s main streets. On Palm Sunday, March 24th, the day starts at 10:30 AM with the blessing of the palms, and a procession will move from the Chapel of Lourdes to Puig de Misa, culminating in a holy mass at 11:00 AM. Maundy Thursday, on March 28th, features a procession at 9:00 PM that begins at Sant Jaume Street, proceeds to the Chapel of Lourdes, and continues to Puig de Misa. Good Friday, March 29th, is filled with activities starting at 10:00 AM with a living Stations of the Cross departing from the market towards Puig de Misa, followed by a 12:00 PM concert by the Municipal Band of Music at Plaza España, the town hall square. The day concludes with an 8:00 PM procession of the Holy Burial, beginning from Puig de Misa, meandering through the principal streets, and returning to the church atop the hill. Finally, Easter Sunday, on March 31st, is marked by a 10:00 AM procession of the Great Encounter, taking place on Sant Jaume Street and in Plaza España.
