Cuttlefish Festival in San Juan

The picturesque village of San Juan welcomes the return of the Cuttlefish Festival, a delightful culinary celebration organised by the local Fishermen’s Guilds under the “Peix Nostrum” brand. On March 23, 2024, from noon onwards, attendees can immerse themselves in a day filled with fishing exhibitions, arts and crafts, workshops for children, and a variety of stalls offering delicious sepia-based dishes. The festival also features a culinary contest at 2 PM and an official opening at 1 PM with traditional folk dancing by Sa Colla de Labritja. Attendees will witness the arrival of the sepia cart and the unique sound of a conch shell, a local tradition signalling fresh fish. Additionally, live music performances will entertain the crowd, and a mini train from Benirràs parking to the venue ensures a hassle-free visit. This event promises a rich cultural and gastronomic experience for all ages.
